O’Chiese Education Authority is currently accepting applications for one Grade 8 Homeroom and Junior High Science Teacher, for the 2024/2025 school year.
The applicant will have:
- a background highly specialized in Junior High teaching strategies
- strong classroom management
- be trauma-informed or be willing to become trauma informed
- an ability to build rapport with students in multiple classes
- experience working with a diverse set of student needs and providing appropriate programming for those students
- the ability to differentiate instruction
- the ability to work as a team with Educational Assistants and other staff members
Our school has approximately 240 students from K-12, 18 teaching staff, and 17 support staff. Our school offers traditional Saulteaux language and land-based classes to students. Our community is located in the foothills with a beautiful scenic view of the Canadian Rockies, close to local parks, within a 45-minute drive of Rocky Mountain House and approximately 2.5 hour drive to Banff, Jasper, Calgary and Edmonton.
