O’Chiese Education Authority is currently accepting applications for one CTS Teacher to begin August 27, 2025.
The applicant will have:
- a valid trade certificate
- a valid Alberta teaching certificate or proof that they are in the process of completing their Bridging program (if the individual is completing the Bridging program, they must submit their last practicum evaluation report)
- a clean criminal record check including vulnerable sector screen
- the willingness to learn about trauma-informed teaching
- knowledge of the principles of lesson design and the measurement of student learning
- the ability to manage a classroom, especially with students using tools and equipment (saws, drills, drill press, bench grinders, etc.)
Our school has approximately 240 students from K-12, 18 teaching staff, and 17 support staff. Our school offers traditional Saulteaux language and land-based classes to students. Our community is located in the foothills with a beautiful scenic view of the Canadian Rockies, close to local parks, within a 45-minute drive of Rocky Mountain House and approximately 2.5 hour drive to Banff, Jasper, Calgary and Edmonton.
